I found one with Ola who started a session w SD and it seemed as easy as EZD. I am trying to find reviews to compare these but cant. It seems like you guys agree that EZD is quicker and easier to use v SD. SD3 really is a complete drum production tool in most every way one can imagine using it. Getting it all organised and named in folders is the tedious part but well worth it imho. Same thing can be done with any drum hits or sounds for that matter, like white noise whacks or sizzles, reverses, cracks, snaps claps or drops. To me the AD2 cymbals are better in many circumstances and when you re-capture the sample you can decide what the trailing tail can be to offset or embellish on the SD3 hit or just replace it completely. I resampled most of the cymbals from AD2 libraries and use them for stacks with SD3 hits. Below are a coupla videos featuring techniques you can try out. I am looking to buy EZDrummer 2 but I think my money is better spent on SD3.
